"Writing a MysterIan show is like throwing myself headlong down a rabbit hole, coming out the other end with 10,000 puzzle pieces, then trying to make a picture out of 100 of them. I start by finding a subject; what excites me? What story do I want to share? What has interesting characters that I can't wait to play? Each subject comes with hours upon hours of research, then piecing together the best way to present a cohesive, entertaining story that can act as a gateway for others to fall down their own rabbit hole.
The performance aspect is a real rush, and one of my favorite parts of MMM. All of these characters are, in the end, human, with all of the brilliance, flaws, humor, and sorrow that come with it. Which leaves me with an hour where I get to bounce through the full range of human emotion, jumping from character to character with only a few seconds in-between.
I'm especially excited to debut The Fox Sisters as a double feature alongside the previous shows! Each show, while sharing a format, tells a very different kind of story, which means each one approaches its characters and tone in a different way. Roswell is more like a series of interviews, as characters both trustworthy and not share their side of a multi-faceted tale. As for theThe Fox Sisters… well, you'll just have to come see for yourself!"
